Forgotten Shapes is a type foundry publishing digital reconstructions of typefaces that have somehow been lost. The goal is to revive these typefaces under the term ‘Werktreue’ in a form as close to the original as possible. The point of departure of all fonts is extensive research in museums, archives, libraries, private collections and/or close collaboration with the original designer(s).
